Carbon Black (N772/N550/N330)

Carbon black is a type of amorphous (shapeless) carbon and has a high surface area-to-volume ratio. Although it has a lower surface area-to-volume ratio than activated carbon, it is among the widely used nanomaterials. It is used in many different industries such as the tire industry, plastic, paint and pigment industry.

Depending on its structure and usage rate, it improves the durability, strength, color and overall performance of rubber-based materials.

In the rubber industry, it is used in tires, rubber shoes and all kinds of rubber products. It has an increasing effect on the performance and packaging properties of rubber products. Carbon black, used as a reinforcing filler in rubber, makes it harder to wear and provides durability.

Features such as high durability, improved machinability, tear and abrasion resistance are important in the tire industry.

In the plastic industry, it is used in the production of medical devices, electrical cables and adhesive tapes that protect from ultraviolet rays.
